The Red Gate Inn is a cozy bed and breakfast! Debbie and Gary are excellent hosts and will make you feel very welcome and comfortable!
In school, in our class, we have discussed the topic regarding entrepreneurship and business, based from what I have learned from our discussion, in any business, customers are the most important to consider. In this artiicle, I really liked how Red Gate Inn shows its openness and respect to all its customers, how it values and counts and gives high importance to customers' feedback and opinion.
Debbie and Gary welcomed us in with open arms and helped way more than expected throwing. My sisters baby shower.... thank you both so much for allowing us to come in and make those precious memories in your inn!!!!!!!
Debbie and Gary have done a wonderful job with this historic home. They strive to make sure that their guests feel welcome. I love this location and this B&B. Thank you Debbie and Gary!!
Bob and I had a wonderful weekend thanks to Debbie and Gary! They were wonderful hosts, telling us lots of history about the house and the renovation. And the breakfasts were fabulous! We can't wait to go back!
My girlfriends and I stay with Debbie and Gary for a girls' weekend in McKinney and we had a fabulous time! They are such gracious hosts and their home is just beautiful. We all enjoyed getting to know Debbie and Gary and they made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious (I'm gluten intolerant and they went our of their way to make me yummy gluten scones and a quiche, so very thoughtful) and the table settings both mornings were just beautiful, made all of us feel like honored guests.
Thank you, Debbie and Gary, for a truly unforgettable stay at The Red Gate Inn!
I can't begin to express how wonderful this B&B is in McKinney. Debbie and Gary, the inn keepers, have hearts of gold. We felt like family from the moment we arrived. They had prepared everything beyond our imagination in preparation of our wedding celebration and was more than I could have ever expected! We plan to return for each anniversary. -TC & Karen.
What a great find! Gary and Debbie Roper made our experience wonderful. The house, and rooms were immaculate. I loved how they combined a modern twist with historic elegance. We stayed in the newest edition over the garage. It was cozy, comfortable, and it felt like home. Debbie is an amazing cook. We only had the pleasure of having breakfast, but it was incredible! The Ropers were very friendly, and a lot of fun to sit and talk with. I highly recommend staying a night, or several, and enjoy being pampered. What a great place to stay, and I can't wait to return.
My sister-in-law and I met in McKinney and spent a night in the Bluebonnet Room at the Red Gate Inn. The room was lovely; the house beautifully renovated. Gary Roper proudly showed us what they had done to the house, and his wife Debbie prepared a fantastic breakfast for us. This inn is within walking distance from the square. Our only disappointment was the cold and rainy weather, keeping us from enjoying the balcony off the Bluebonnet Room.Great place to stay!
From the moment we arrived at the Red Gate Inn, Gary made us feel welcome. He provided a tour of the lovely 100-year old renovated home and shared stories of its history. He also provided a sampling of local Texas wines and beers--who knew? We also really enjoyed the town of McKinney. The square is filled with lovely shops and restaurants and it's within walking distance of the B&B. In fact, there's a published walking tour which led us around the neighborhood to enjoy historic homes ranging from Renaissance to Arts & Crafts. Last, the breakfast was delicious--served with pride and customized to our tastes. Those of us with lighter appetites were limited to a sampling of what was offered but it was all worth the calories
We arrived in the neighborhood at dusk on Halloween. The street was like a scene out of a Norman Rockwell painting--kids and their parents all dressed up. Almost every home had a porch with the owners in rocking chairs handing out candy. The Ropers were the quintessential hosts. The lodging was fabulous, better than the pictures! The breakfasts were even better as was the interaction with the hosts. We entered as guests and left as friends. We WILL be back!
Hi. I just posted this on Trip Advisor and wanted to share it with you, too.
I bring VIP clients to town to work with them, and last week I had 2 coming, and the hotel I usually use was booked full with its suites. I found the Red Gate Inn, and now I will use them exclusively for all my VIP Days moving forward. This is a beautiful restored home on my favorite street in McKinney, Church Street, within walking distance of the downtown historic square. My client was pampered and waited on and treated so wonderfully during her entire stay that she is still raving about it. I was given the same treatment during the time I was there with my client. The owners served a huge breakfast of homemade goodies, and then served myself and my client a full tea later in the day with homemade scones and fresh fruit. Beautiful roses and wine from a local winery were waiting for her in her suite. The room was perfect for her to stay in and then for us to work in during our time together. I was given full run of the house and my every need met. Every detail in this home is attended to with such perfection. The hosts are gracious, friendly and welcoming people. This is the perfect place for a getaway for business or a very relaxing vacation in McKinney. Thank you, Red Gate Inn!
We came to the Red Gate Inn for a quick and much needed getaway. While McKinney is only about an hour from our home, once we settled in we felt like we far from DFW. The home has been beautifully updated and maintained and the grounds are lush and tranquil. The Bluebonnet Room has a private covered porch that is breezy and feels like a treehouse. The town center was a short walk away. Aside from the wonderful accommodations, including perhaps the finest biscuits and gravy ever, Gary and Debbie couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming hosts. Red Gate Inn is truly a gem that we hope to escape to again very soon.
The photos on this web site do not do the rooms and experience justace. It feels like coming home with old world charm yet new, bright and clean.
Our hosts are truly committed to getting to know you and share in the experience of your life. Debra & Gary share of themselves in a way that you would expect from family or when visiting childhood friends.
The Red Gate Inn will see us again!
You are in for the treat of you life. Debbie and Gary opened up their home us. From the first time we met Gary, we felt at home. Then comes Debbie's breakfast, cinnamon rolls like you've never tasted, bisquits, eggs cooked my way, baked bacon and ham, a selection of fresh fruit. and then the stories and conversation made us feel like family. A business associate made the reservations and we did feel like VIPs. The historical square with 26 restaurants, the feeling as you walk around, the Chestnut Square farmers market on Saturday morning, all make for a memorable experience. To listen to the little details they covered before opening helps you to understand how much they love opening their home up to guests.
We'll be back and i'm bringing my wife this time. Yes the Rose Room is great for a small business meeting or family.
The Red Gate Inn is so cozy and beautiful! We had such an amazing time, and LOVED getting to know Debbie & Gary. They made us feel so welcome, and we felt as if we knew them for years! It was truly a WONDERFUL experience! Cannot wait to be back!!
Lovely, relaxed accommodations with welcoming hosts, Debbie and Gary. The Red Gate Inn experience is made to order for each guest and the food indescribably delicious...you will not go away hungry! The grounds are equally as inviting as the rooms. We want to encourage you to enjoy Red Gate Inn, but leave a space for us to return! Thank you, Gary and Debbie, for your expertise in how to welcome and treat people with loving kindness and care.
My wife and I needed some time away together. We live in Frisco and grandma watched the kids overnight. Gary and Debbie were perfect hosts. We couldn't have had a better experience. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The breakfast blew us away. Everything made from scratch. The table was set with china, silver place settings and crystal. Homemade cinnamon rolls were the best. We were so full we had to skip lunch!
what a wonderful place. we had a reunion there in the dining area for 15 cousins and were the recipients of the most wonderful food for lunch--let me elevate that to a moveable feast on the heels of the bountiful breakfast. debbie and her sister pulled out all the stops for us with unbelievable food. we stayed in the red rose room which was so comfortable and debbie left us popcorn which was a great surprise on returning from dinner. our niece had driven 11 hours to be there as the occasion doubled as a birthday party -- arriving late at night--and said entering the yellow rose room was like entering heaven. we have probably stayed at 50 or more bed and breakfasts and debbie and gary get an A plus on the report card.
The red gate inn is a comfortable divan. This is so beautiful inside and outside. Many planners are also held some seminars here so that people have fun. This is very comfortable house people are really like such type of houses that has all comforts is available.
Highly recommend the Red Gate Inn! It is great for overnight visits and special events. There are no better hosts than Gary and Debbie! They make you feel so special and create a one-of-a-kind experience for you. The food is incredible and the accommodations are perfect. We will definitely be back!
We came to McKinney to celebrate my Christmas Birthday and stayed at the Red Gate Inn. Beautifully decorated it really put us in the Christmas Spirit. Debbie and Gary are a wonderful host and hostess.
We enjoyed the ambience of the Red Rose room with fireplace and sitting area. We will be back!
Had a girlie weekend with my friend Patty, stayed at the Red Gate Inn, and will never be able to top the wonderful weekend we had with Debbie and Gary; from the moment we pulled up, and we were early, we were greeted from the porch, and made to feel like family! Most beautiful home, beautifully decorated rooms, all for Christmas, food was impecable and made to order. Gary even got wind that I am vegan, and he shopped for me the night before, and created an entire homemade vegan breakfast just for me! I was so touched at his thoughtfulness.... the wine in the room, cheese and crackers and wine also in the room after we shopped the day away; we never went to dinner, just enjoyed the evening and beautiful view from ourprivate porch/balcony. Could not have been a better weekend away, and will definitely go again. We are like family now!! Thank you again for ALL of your personal charm and warm love Debbie and Gary!
What a wonderful experience. Red Gate Inn exceeded all of our expectations. Room was extremely clean and the house is beautiful. Debbie and Gary are the sweetest innkeepers and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Breakfast was incredible. Thanks again for a great get away!
You have raised an important issue..Thanks for sharing..I would like to read more current affairs from this blog..keep posting..
What a fantastic experience. Stayed there last night for a bachelorette night. I was running so late and they were so helpful. Red Gate Inn exceeded all of my expectations. The rooms were extremely clean with everything you would need (and homemade cookies!) and the house is beautiful. The gardens were amazing. Debbie and Gary are the sweetest innkeepers and went above and beyond. The breakfast was amazing...not kidding, REALLY amazing!!!!
We just spent 3 nights at the Red Gate Inn, we were in town for my Mom's 80th birthday. First I have to say I booked our flight, car and Inn through Expedia. Epic failure, I happened to call the Inn the week before we left and Debbie had no reservation for us no payment and not the room available for our 3 nights. Debbie had to be on the phone with me and Expedia for over an hour. Not only did she take all this time but she made it work and we had our room for 3 nights. When we got to the Inn we were greeted by Gary her husband who helped us with our luggage and was so kind and welcoming. The Inn is beautiful, warm and beautiful. The next morning we had the most amazing breakfast I have ever had. We always try to book an Inn wherever we go and this by far has been the best experience ever! Debbie is an amazing chef I couldn't eat lunch later after the breakfast I had. And my husband Mike had special dietary needs which they joyfully embraced. Great freindly conversation as well! 5 stars all the way❤️ We will stay there our next trip to McKinney definitely. Thank you so much for making our visit truly awesome!!
Our best regards,
Mike and Bambee from CT
